Harry George, General PartnerHarry has more than 27 years experience in founding, operating and investing in successful rapid growth technology-related companies.  He is a co-founder of Solstice Capital.  From its inception in 1981 to 1989, Mr. George was co-founder, Director, and Vice-President of Finance for Interleaf Inc.  During this time, Interleaf, a pioneer in electronic publishing, grew to be a publicly traded company with $100 million in annual revenue.  In January 2000, Interleaf was acquired by Broadvision in a stock merger that valued Interleaf at approximately $900 million.  Prior to this, Harry was a co-founder, Director and Vice President of Finance of Kurzweil Computer Products, subsequently purchased by Xerox Imaging Systems.  Harry has been a Director of a number of private and public companies and is currently a Director of Lumidigm, High Throughput Genomics, CellzDirect, Regenesis Biomedical and AmpliMed.  He is a member of the Investors' Circle and was active with the Arizona Venture Capital Conference, where he was on the conference screening panel from 1997-2003.  Harry is a member of the advisory committee of the MBA program at the Eller School of Business of the University of Arizona and serves as an advisor to the Arizona Center for Innovation.  From 1996 to 2003, he was a Trustee of the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and he currently serves as its Vice Chair of Treasure the Desert Capital Campaign.  He is also a Trustee of the Tucson Museum of Art.  He received an AB from Bowdoin College.
Fred Bamber, General Partner

Fred has over 35 years of experience in the computer and venture industries.  He co-founded Applied Technology, which managed three early-stage venture funds focused on the computer industry.  The funds invested some $100 million in over 60 start-up companies.  These investments spanned the information industry, including: Interleaf (enterprise electronic publishing software), Cadence Design (software for electronic design), ISD (multistage memory chips) and Maker Communications (network communications chips).  Previously, he spent 10 years as an operating executive after his participation in the start-up of Data Resources, Inc. (DRI), a pioneer electronic information software and services company.  One of the few successful start-ups of the Seventies, DRI went public in 1976 and was acquired by McGraw-Hill in 1979.  Fred has been a director of a number of public and private companies.  Most recently, he has served on the Board of Directors of Connected Corporation (acquired by Iron Mountain), Lewtan Technology (acquired by DMGI), MetaCarta, Okena (acquired by Cisco), SupplyWorks and Unveil (acquired by Microsoft) and as a Board observer with Archivas and Arxan.  He received an AB from Yale College and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Henry Newman, General PartnerHenry Newman has over 35 years of venture capital investing, operations and public accounting experience.  He is a co-founder of Solstice Capital, which was founded in 1995 and has raised two early-stage venture funds with total capital commitments of $79M.  For more than seven years, Mr. Newman was a Vice President of BancBoston Ventures Inc., a venture capital subsidiary of Bank of Boston.  Previously, he held various financial management positions at the Bank of Boston and was a CPA at Coopers & Lybrand.  Mr. Newman is a director of CellzDirect, CodeRyte, and Lipton Corp Childcare and was formerly a Director of Proton Energy Systems, Inc.  He serves on the Investment Advisory Committee of Commons Capital LLC, a positive impact venture fund.  Mr. Newman graduated from Bowdoin College and received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
